Wedding Day

Several of you, my dear friends and family, have requested to see more wedding pictures than what is on Facebook. We got our pictures back from our photographer about two weeks ago. We are happy to show you now. Enjoy!

Wedding Bliss

So many things have happened over the last month and a half. Many of you have been along for the ride, but I had some extra time while I'm waiting for Matt to get home from doing his ward clerk business and thought that I would officially make a post about us.

I AM SO HAPPY and IN LOVE! So, the story goes like this:
Mutual friends of ours (Andrea & John [AKA "matchmaker"] invited us over to have dinner at their house along with their friend, Joe, on Labor Day weekend. When I got over there I met Matt and thought he was dang good looking. It was my first time of really hanging out with Andrea and John since moving into their ward, so we had a great time just laughing and chatting it up. Andrea and John told us that Joe couldn't make it over for dinner, so it was just the four of us. We had some delicious kabobs and dinner conversation which really didn't stop until well into the night. I was having a great time and kept thinking to myself that I REALLY like these guys. I also was feeling very comfortable around Matt, which was great since I thought he was hot and had just met him a couple of hours earlier. We all continued to hang out for the remainder of the weekend. I remember feeling "sad" that Matt had to go home to Spokane where he was "needed" for his Sunday calling.

I called him Sunday evening to see if he truly was needed at his ward. I wasn't sure if I should call him because we had just met, but I really wanted to talk to him. We talked for over an hour like it was nothing--good conversation the whole time and a ton of laughs.

Later in the week, I found out that he was coming back to Kennewick for the next weekend. I was very excited to see him and hang out again and play. Needless to say, that weekend was fabulous as well. Things just kept going great and led up to me coming to visit Matt in Spokane along with John and Andrea the following weekend.

Things just progressed from there. I couldn't get enough of his humor and wit, his gorgeous eyes, his caring (helping me when I hurt my back) for me, etc.! There are so many qualities that Matt has that are perfectly complementary to my personality.

We both knew that we were perfect for each other about the same time and knew that we would be getting married. Matt officially proposed with the ring last weekend (October 2nd) outside the temple. It was really awesome! I love this man with all of my heart.

We are getting married on December 19th in the Columbia River Temple in Kennewick. I just bought my dress yesterday, bought our wedding bands, and registered at Macy's. We have more registering to do, but we have to wait for the weekends when we can be together.

Oh, my engagement ring belonged to his great-grandmother, Rose. It is called a "miner's cut" and it has a beautiful vintage setting that is over 100 years old. Very pretty!!!! More to come your way!

Mi Casa

I know some of you have been able to come and see my new place, but for those who live too far away I am meeting your requests to post pictures. I moved in just over a week ago and almost the whole family was able to pitch in and help. Thank you so much for unpacking boxes, cleaning, and putting things away, and installing my sprinklers and beautiful green grass! :) I'm currently changing the color of the dining room table and chairs and have about half of the windows covered. Still many more boxes to unpack and stuff to organize...(shower door and mirrors are supposed to be here on Monday morning.) I'm SO THANKFUL for a beautiful home and that I got to move in 1 month ahead of schedule. Next week, I've got to start getting my classroo ready for the school year.
